smurf graffiti & kissing policemen

I was looking through some holiday snaps & I found this picture that I took in Brighton England. My young cousins were kind enough to take me on a tour of the north lanes to show me a Banksy & this great Smurf graffiti by an unknown artist. Gargamel appears to be wearing some kind of raver shades.

The famous kissing policemen is painted on an old wall in a side lane in Brighton, nestled next to a light pole & a bank of bins. The painting has been covered with plexi glass to protect it from thieves. I'm not sure how its done but apparently people have been chipping Banksy street art off of walls & selling it for a lot of money.

Vintage shopping in the north lanes of brighton England

I totally have my eye on the ice skates in this window display, they would go great with the faux fur display hat & the purple cape.

I was very taken by the stuffed frogs sewn on the shoulder of this dress. I think the name tag says Ernesto.

This display of vintage shoes is like a big bowl of eye candy to me.

Will cowboy boots ever go out of fashion? they are totally versatile, I'm told you can wear them with dresses, shorts & jeans. They look totally hot with a nice bikini & big movie star sun glasses if you are a skinny pop star.

I LUV BADGES.

I luv badges so I made some. Making badges is a highly addictive hobby.
I fear I may leave the house covered in 500 badges one day & people will stare at me.
I'm not good at throwing things out, I like to recycle things, so I made these badges out of a GIRLS OWN ANNUAL 1977 cos I couldn't watch it rot on a shelf. Now I have 500 badges.
I think I'm becoming the crazy badge lady.
And another badge.
This one is made from some wrapping paper that I couldn't see go to waste. It is tastefully pinned to a playing card.

RESIN GINGERBREAD MEN

My little gingerbread friends are cast in resin. The lollies in them are real, preserved forever in epoxy resin & never to be eaten.

THE GLAMOUR OF GLASSES

These bizarre glasses have antennae attached & they were designed to wear to gala events.
These vintage glasses are from the 1960's. I purchased them in a flea market in New York City.
The lady who sold me the glasses was a film student in the 1960's. These glasses were used as a prop in a 1960's student short film title WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE BABY GIRL.
